Neha Shetty is a third year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Originally from Sacramento, California, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Society from the University of California, Los Angeles. Neha has a strong interest in vascular surgery and conducts research regarding abdominal aortic ruptures and peripheral artery disease. Her work focuses on the intersection of vascular surgery outcomes and social determinants of health, specifically examining disparities in surgical outcomes for rural patients and developing metrics for individual SDoH factors. Neha has also served as a co-coordinator for the Association of Women Surgeons, where she worked to empower medical students pursuing surgical specialties by fostering mentorship opportunities and organizing student-led journal clubs. She is excited to attend the Vascular Annual Meeting this year and looks forward to connecting with others who share her passion for advancing vascular care.
