I am a vascular surgeon and University researcher at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences (DIMEC) of the University of Bologna

I completed Medical School in 2013, Residency in Vascular Surgery in 2019, and a PhD in Surgical Sciences in 2022 at the University of Bologna.

During 2022/23, I completed an Aortic Research Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston (TX, USA), under the supervision of Dr. Gustavo S. Oderich. During that year, I received the Peter B. Samuels Award from the SCVS for a paper entitled: "Outcomes of fenestrated-branched endovascular aortic repair in patients with or without prior history of abdominal endovascular or open surgical repair.

I am the author of 70 original articles indexed in PubMed (13 as first author, 7 as second author), covering all areas of vascular surgery.

At the Sant'Orsola-Malpighi Hospital in Bologna, I have performed more than 1,600 arterial surgery procedures — 760 as first operator — and over 200 venous surgery procedures, including 150 as first operator.
