Dr. Carlos Arturo Hinojosa Becerril is a distinguished Angiology and Vascular Surgery specialist with over 20 years of experience in Mexico City. He earned his medical degree with honors from UAEM (1999), completed a General Surgery residency at INCMNSZ (2005, Chief Resident), and pursued a Vascular Surgery subspecialty and a Master's in Clinical Epidemiology at McMaster University, Canada (2005-2007).
Currently, Dr. Hinojosa holds significant leadership roles, serving as President of both the Mexican Board of Vascular Surgery and the Institutional Review Board at INCMNSZ. Within INCMNSZ, he is also Subdirector of Clinical Research, an Attending Physician, and has directed the Angiology and Vascular Surgery residency program since 2011. Additionally, he is a Full Professor at UNAM, mentoring graduate students.
A past president (2020-2023) of the Mexican Society of Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, he is an active member of numerous national and international societies, including the Mexican Academy of Surgery and the Canadian and US Societies for Vascular Surgery. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 2015.
Recognized as a Level II National Researcher (SNI) since 2020, Dr. Hinojosa has an extensive research portfolio with over 185 publications, 3 edited books, 26 book chapters, and has supervised 11 theses, contributing significantly to the field through research and education.
