I am a physician and general surgeon from the University of Cartagena, a specialist in vascular surgery from the University of Antioquia, and a Master's in Health Education from the University of Antioquia. I have over 10 years of experience dedicated to arterial surgery, especially limb salvage. I practice in MedellĂn, Colombia, at the Alma Mater Hospital of Antioquia, affiliated with the University of Antioquia, where I train general and vascular surgery residents. I have a private practice in the Torre Salud Vegas Medical Center, where I focus on ischemic diabetic foot and venous disorders. I work with software engineers from EAFIT University to design virtual surgical educational environments.
I have participated in local clinical trials using stem cells for arterial disease and porcine esophageal extracellular matrix meshes for diabetic foot wounds.
