Dr. Brant W. Ullery is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon trained in all areas of vascular and endovascular surgery, with special emphasis on complex aortic disease and critical limb ischemia. His primary clinical and academic interest involves the development of complex endovascular aortic interventions, as well as identifying and improving failure mechanisms of such aortic and branch vessel reconstructions.
After completion of his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, Dr. Ullery earned his medical degree with honors in research at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. He then completed his general surgery training and chief residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, during which time he received several Top Surgical Resident Research awards. Dr. Ullery later completed fellowship training in vascular and endovascular surgery at Stanford University. He joined the clinical staff at Providence Heart and Vascular Institute in Portland in 2015 and has served as the Medical Director of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Providence since 2017. In 2021, he earned a master’s of business administration degree with concentration in healthcare management. To improve access and quality of care, Dr. Ullery and his colleagues formed an independent practice, Oregon Vascular Specialists - Portland, in 2024. This new practice extends the reach of Oregon Vascular Specialists (OVS) across the state, an organization that was originally created in 2017 and has long served as the leader of vascular care in Central and Southern Oregon.
