Justin Jay Bader, MD is a 3rd year general surgery resident at Yale New Haven Hospital where he is conducting two years of dedicated research under a T32. Originally from Minnesota, he completed his undergraduate at MIT and medical school at Dartmouth. He has been conducting vascular surgery research under the mentorship of Cassius Iyad Ochoa Chaar, MD, MPH since his intern year of residency in 2022. Jay and the research team have been working on their project "Prediction Model for Safe Contrast Volume Thresholds to Prevent Postcontrast Acute Kidney Injury after Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair" for over a year and are thrilled to present this work during the plenary session at VAM 2025. Jay is also a recipient of the Jack Cronenwett Scholarship and a member of the SVS VQI Fellowship in Training (FIT) program under the leadership of Betsy Wymer, DNP and Adam P. Johnson, MD, MPH.
