Medical Student
Oregon Health & Science University
Portland, Oregon
My name is Tatiana Jenkins, and my path to medicine is marked by a significant journey. I was the first in my family to immigrate to the US, arriving at the age of 22. For many years, I worked as a nanny, a role that provided me with life-changing connections, amazing management skills and whole lot of patient practice. I later returned to education, earning my Bachelor's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from CSU, East Bay. To further prepare for medical school, I worked as a medical assistant where I gained more experience and understanding of our healthcare system. I am currently a third-year medical student at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR and my interest lays in general and vascular surgery.
