Dr. Cuneyt Koksoy is a physician-scientist with a background in vascular surgery and clinical research. He currently serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, where he supports the design, coordination, and execution of advanced clinical trials in complex aortic and peripheral vascular diseases.
Dr. Koksoy earned his medical degree and completed his general and vascular surgery training at Ankara University School of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey. He subsequently pursued subspecialty training in aortic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and endovascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Over more than two decades at Ankara University, he served as a faculty member and later as Professor of Surgery, where he led a high-volume vascular surgery practice. His clinical and academic work during this period focused extensively on the management of chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) and deep venous obstructions, areas in which he has made significant scholarly contributions.
His research portfolio spans ischemia-reperfusion injury, venous disease, microvascular function, and vascular imaging. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to several authoritative surgical textbooks. Dr. Koksoy is an active member of numerous professional societies, including the American Venous Forum and the European Society for Vascular Surgery.
Now dedicated exclusively to physician- and industry-initiated vascular research, Dr. Koksoy continues to advance evidence-based knowledge and innovation in vascular science through collaborative clinical investigation.
