Omaha, Nebraska
Tracy Campin, originally from a small town in southwest Iowa, remained in Omaha after graduating with her bachelor's degree in nursing from Nebraska Methodist College.
Tracy spent a majority of her career working clinically in the operating room, interventional radiology, and cardiac cath lab as a procedurally focused RN. Her career then took her beyond the bedside as a clinical application analyst implementing and supporting cardiovascular information systems, as well as Epic modules for a 5 year period.
Since 2016, Tracy merged her EMR and clinical experience to fulfill the role as Nebraska Medicine’s Vascular Surgery Clinical Program Coordinator. In this role, she manages Quality oversight for the vascular surgery department. Along with registry/data management responsibilities, Tracy is also trained in Quality Improvement methodologies, in which she has launched several successful projects for the vascular program. Some of these projects include: increasing compliance of appropriate discharge medications, decreasing length of stay in patients undergoing lower extremity bypass, and implementing multidisciplinary order sets to facilitate care standardization in complex patient populations.
To further her expertise and commitment to lifelong learning, Tracy is currently enrolled in the Master of Healthcare Delivery Science program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Tracy enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, reading, and attending a wide range of sporting events.
