Dr. Aziz is a nationally recognized academic vascular surgeon, educator, and healthcare leader currently serving as Professor and Chief of Vascular Surgery and Vice Chair of Finance at the Penn State Heart & Vascular Institute. He holds the prestigious Gilbert and Elsie Sealfon Endowed Chair in Surgery and directs the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency Program at Penn State.
A prolific scholar with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Aziz's research focuses on vascular outcomes, health equity, and surgical education. He is the founding faculty mentor of the Penn State Vascular Surgery Outcomes Research Team (VSORT) and director of the Sealfon Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Vascular Surgery. As a committed mentor, Dr. Aziz has guided countless students, residents, and junior faculty toward academic and professional success. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery, Alpha Omega Alpha inductee, and recipient of numerous teaching and service awards.
Dr. Aziz is passionate about transforming surgical education, driving innovation in vascular care, and mentoring the next generation of physician leaders.
